Charles Brown
Charles Brown is in his tenth year as director of choral activities at Concordia University Chicago.  He conducts the Kapelle, which has toured extensively in the US and internationally, and Männerchor.  Charles’ other teaching responsibilities at Concordia include choral music education, conducting, and aural skills.  As a singer, Charles is a member of Chicago’s Grant Park Chorus and performs as a bass soloist in the Chicagoland area.  Charles is a choral conducting DMA candidate at the University of Arizona under Bruce Chamberlain.  Before teaching in higher education, Charles taught students from grades kindergarten through high school in Pennsylvania and New Jersey public schools.  Charles received his bachelor and master degrees from Westminster Choir College where he studied conducting with Constantina Tsolainou, Andrew Megill, and Joseph Flummerfelt.
